1. Examine the leather and identify the natural direction of the scales.
2. Gently remove dust with a soft, dry cloth, always working in the direction of the scales.
3. Test Reptan on an inconspicuous area to confirm compatibility with the leather’s finish.
4. Place a small amount of cream onto the included cotton chamois.
5. Apply a thin, even layer over the entire surface, following the direction of the scales.
6. Avoid forcing cream beneath raised scales or allowing excess product to collect between them.
7. Allow the leather to dry for a few minutes.
8. Buff gently with a clean, dry section of the cloth, continuing to work in the direction of the scales.
9. Repeat only when necessary rather than applying several heavy layers.

Reptile leather requires a particularly gentle touch. Always work with the natural direction of the scales and never rub against them, as this can lift or damage their delicate edges. Use only a small amount of Reptan: a thin, even application is more effective than a heavy layer that may accumulate between the scales.

Because exotic leathers can have very different factory finishes, always test the cream on a concealed area before treating the entire item. Pay particular attention to folds and flex points, where dryness and scale separation are most likely to begin.

Allow the leather to dry naturally away from radiators, direct sunlight and other sources of heat. For handbags and structured accessories, support the item during application so the leather is not unnecessarily folded or compressed.
