1. Remove surface dust and dirt with a horsehair brush.
2. Apply Rénovateur sparingly using a clean cotton cloth.
3. Massage gently into the leather using small circular motions.
4. Allow the cream to penetrate and dry.
5. Buff with a horsehair brush or soft polishing cloth.
6. Follow with Crème 1925 for colour nourishment or Pâte de Luxe for additional protection and shine, if desired.

Always test on an inconspicuous area before treating the entire item.

If I could only keep one leather care product on my shelf, it would be Rénovateur. It is the foundation of nearly every shoe care routine I recommend. Used regularly, it helps maintain the leather's natural oils and keeps shoes looking vibrant, supple, and healthy for years. For most smooth leather shoes, applying Renovateur every few months is often enough to keep the leather properly nourished.

I particularly like using Rénovateur when a well-maintained pair needs nourishment but does not require aggressive cleaning. Think of it as preparing the leather: once conditioned and properly buffed, you have a beautiful foundation for Crème 1925 and your subsequent polishing steps.
