• Neatsfoot Oil – Replenishes the leather's oil content, helping maintain softness, suppleness, flexibility, and its natural water-resistant properties.

1. Remove loose dirt and dust from the leather and brush the surface thoroughly.
2. If cleaning is required before conditioning, use an appropriate Saphir Médaille d'Or cleaner suitable for the leather being treated.
3. Apply a small amount of Oiled Leather Cream using a clean cotton cloth or applicator brush.
4. Massage gently into the leather using circular motions to encourage even penetration.
5. Allow the product to absorb and dry for approximately one hour.
6. On smooth leather, buff with an appropriate polishing brush.
7. Finish with a soft cloth or polishing glove for an even appearance.

Always test on an inconspicuous area before full application.

Oiled leathers are meant to have a richer concentration of oils than conventional polished calfskin, so the objective is to preserve that character rather than force them into a highly polished finish.

I recommend beginning with a thin, even application and giving the leather the full hour to absorb it before deciding whether it needs more. Different oiled leathers can absorb conditioning products at very different rates. Working progressively gives you much greater control and helps avoid oversaturating the leather.
