1. Remove loose dirt and dust from the leather and allow any moisture to dry naturally.
2. Shake the bottle thoroughly before use.
3. Test the cream on an inconspicuous area, particularly when treating light-coloured leather or oiled nubuck.
4. Apply a small amount using a clean cotton cloth.
5. Massage the cream gently and evenly into the leather, working one section at a time.
6. Avoid saturating the surface or allowing excess product to collect around seams and stitching.
7. Allow the cream to dry for approximately five minutes.
8. Buff smooth or oiled leather with a clean cloth or soft horsehair brush.
9. For oiled nubuck, finish with gentle brushing to restore an even texture rather than attempting to produce a high shine.
10. Allow the leather to dry fully before wearing or exposing it to wet conditions.

Oiled leather is valued for its supple texture and softly lustrous appearance, so the objective is not to create the highly polished finish associated with dress shoes. Apply only enough cream to replenish the leather and restore an even, silky surface.

Natural oils can deepen the colour of leather, particularly on light-toned oiled nubuck. Always test first and treat an entire panel rather than applying the product only to one isolated area. This helps prevent uneven colour or visible application marks.

Neutral is the most versatile option when you want to preserve the existing colour. The pigmented versions can help maintain Black, Medium Brown or Dark Brown leather, but they are not intended to produce a dramatic colour change.

If the surface remains greasy after drying, too much product has been applied. Remove the excess with a clean cotton cloth and allow the leather to rest naturally. For stronger colour renewal and a more waxed outdoor finish, Saphir recommends complementing the treatment with Sport Loisir Outdoor.

This product is not suited for conventional suede, untreated nubuck, patent leather or delicate reptile leather.
