1. Remove loose dirt, dust, and mud from the footwear before treatment with the mud remover brush.
2. Ensure the material is clean and dry before application.
3. Apply a small amount of Sport Loisir Outdoor Dubbin evenly over the surface using a clean cotton cloth.
4. Work the product into the material, paying particular attention to areas regularly exposed to moisture and wear.
5. Allow the product time to penetrate before removing any excess and finishing the surface as appropriate for the leather.

Always test on an inconspicuous area before full application. As with other rich conditioning products, application may alter the appearance of certain leathers, particularly lighter colours and absorbent finishes.

Dubbin is most valuable when you need protection and flexibility rather than a highly polished dress-shoe finish. This is the product I would reserve for footwear that genuinely works outdoors—walking boots, riding footwear, hunting boots, and other leather shoes that regularly encounter wet or demanding conditions.

Apply it sparingly. With an oil- or wax-rich outdoor treatment, giving the leather sufficient time to absorb a thin application is preferable to immediately adding more. On oiled nubuck, remember that conditioning products can deepen the colour and change the visual character of the material, so testing first is especially important.
