1. Remove loose dust and surface dirt before cleaning.
2. Apply a small amount of Cleaner to a clean, dry cloth.
3. Rub the leather using circular motions to lift dirt and accumulated residue.
4. Continually move to a clean section of the cloth as it becomes dirty to avoid spreading removed residue back across the leather.
5. Allow the leather to dry for at least 15 minutes.
6. If deeper cleaning is required, repeat the application until the desired level of cleaning has been achieved.
7. Once clean and dry, follow with the appropriate Saphir Médaille d'Or conditioner or cream according to the leather and your intended finish.

Always test on a less visible area before full application.

What I particularly like about Cleaner is the control it gives you. Leather care doesn't always require choosing between an extremely gentle clean and stripping everything back. Start with a modest amount, see what the first pass removes, and repeat only if the leather genuinely needs it.

This is especially useful when you want to remove some accumulated polish without necessarily taking the leather all the way back to a completely stripped surface. Work with clean sections of your cloth as you go—the moment the cloth becomes loaded with old polish and dirt, continuing with that same area simply moves residue around rather than removing it.

For a significantly heavier restoration where stubborn buildup needs to be removed, I would step up to Saphir Médaille d'Or Reno Cleaner instead.
