1. Ensure the material is completely dry before brushing.
2. Use the natural crêpe side on suede or nubuck, brushing gently to remove surface dirt and lift flattened fibres.
2. Work in several directions where the nap has become compressed, then finish by brushing in one consistent direction for an even appearance.
3. Use the long synthetic-silk bristles on microfibre to loosen and remove dust and surface dirt.
4. Pay particular attention to seams, edges and areas where dirt tends to collect.
5. For deeper cleaning, use the appropriate Saphir cleaner and allow the material to dry completely before brushing again.

Always test on an inconspicuous area before treating the complete item.

Before reaching for a cleaner, I always brush suede and nubuck thoroughly. What appears to be a mark is often simply an area where the fibres have been pressed in a different direction. The natural crêpe side can lift the nap and restore a more even appearance without introducing moisture or additional product.

After wet cleaning, patience is important. Allow the material to dry completely before using the brush; working on damp suede can distort the fibres and spread remaining dirt. Once dry, brush in several directions to separate the nap, then make a final pass in one direction so the finish looks uniform.
