1. Select the European size corresponding most closely to your footwear.
2. Place each insole inside the appropriate shoe with the wool surface facing upward.
3. Position the heel securely against the back of the shoe and ensure the insole lies completely flat.
4. If adjustment is required, mark the excess around the outer edge and trim gradually with sharp scissors.
5. Put on the shoes and walk indoors to confirm that the insoles provide warmth and cushioning without making the footwear excessively tight.
6. Remove the insoles periodically after wear and allow them to air and dry naturally.

Thermal insoles naturally occupy some of the interior space within a shoe. I recommend using Everest Insoles in winter boots or other footwear with enough room through the instep and toe box. The wool should provide a soft, comfortable layer without forcing the foot against the upper.

If trimming is necessary, remove only a small amount at a time and check the fit after each adjustment. During wet or snowy weather, take the insoles out after wear and allow both the footwear and insoles to dry naturally. Avoid placing them directly against a radiator or other strong heat source.
