1. Remove all loose dust and dirt from the leather before polishing.
2. If the leather is moderately dirty, use Saphir Médaille d'Or Cleanser first to gently clean the surface while helping preserve an existing mirror shine.
3. If the leather is heavily soiled or contains accumulated wax, silicone, or resin deposits, use the appropriate Saphir Médaille d'Or cleaner before polishing.
4. Apply Traveler’s Pâte de Luxe sparingly using a clean cotton cloth or bristle application brush.
5. Work the polish into the leather evenly, allowing the waxes to nourish and protect the surface.
6. Allow the polish to dry.
7. Buff thoroughly with a bristle brush or wool polishing cloth to develop the shine.

Travel is often when our shoes receive the least attention precisely when they are being asked to endure the most. A small amount of wax and a proper buff after a long day can make an enormous difference to how your shoes look throughout a trip.

As with traditional Pâte de Luxe, thin layers are preferable to heavy applications. Concentrate on maintaining a clean, elegant finish rather than continually adding more wax. And if you already have a beautiful shine established before leaving home, clean conservatively so you preserve the work you've already done.
