1. For cream or polish application, load a small amount of product onto the bristles.
2. Apply sparingly to the leather, using the oval head to work around welt seams and other difficult-to-reach areas.
3. Continue with the appropriate buffing or polishing step for the product being used.
4. When using the brush for suede or nubuck, use gentle brushing to remove loose dust and surface dirt rather than applying polish.

I particularly appreciate the longer handle when working around the welt and lower areas of a shoe. It gives you excellent control without constantly getting cream or polish on your fingertips.

I also recommend dedicating your brushes by colour family. Keep dark bristles for darker creams and polishes and light bristles for lighter colours.
