1. Remove all dust and dirt from the leather. For heavily soiled leather, old wax buildup, or outdoor footwear exposed to mud and grime, clean first with Saphir Médaille d'Or Reno Cleaner. For lighter routine cleaning, use Saphir Médaille d'Or Gentle Cleanser or Plant-Based Cleaner, depending on the leather you are working on.
2. Apply a small amount of Dubbin Graisse using a clean Cotton Chamois Cloth.
3. For welt seams and difficult-to-reach areas, use a Saphir Médaille d'Or Pommadier Spreading Brush.
4. Massage the product into the leather using circular motions.
5. Allow the Dubbin Graisse to penetrate for approximately 10 minutes.
6. Brush thoroughly with a horsehair brush to remove any excess product.

Dubbin Graisse is one of my favourite products for leather that faces real-world conditions. If your boots regularly see rain, snow, mud, or rough outdoor use, this is the product to reach for.

Apply sparingly—more is not better. The leather can only absorb so much nourishment at one time. If you're working on smooth leather and want to achieve a high-gloss shine, allow the Dubbin to absorb for at least 24 hours before applying waxes. Once fully absorbed, you can still build a beautiful shine while benefiting from the deep conditioning underneath.

For maximum protection against wet weather, I often follow with Saphir Médaille d'Or Super Invulner after the leather has fully absorbed the Dubbin.
